Acclinate

[Birmingham, AL, August 6, 2024] — Acclinate, Inc. and the Housing Authority of the Birmingham District (HABD) are thrilled to announce a partnership aimed at enhancing the health and well-being of Birmingham’s Black community. This collaboration will leverage Acclinate's NOWINCLUDED community platform to provide trusted health resources, education, and engagement opportunities to over 20,000 residents served by HABD.

HABD is committed to providing affordable housing and ensuring resident well-being. Acclinate is a Birmingham company with a nationally proven model for mobilizing underrepresented communities as active participants in their health, their community’s health, and the future of medicine. Together, the two organizations aim to bridge the gap between the healthcare industry and under-resourced communities.

The partnership involves promoting health education through customized resources, digital tools, and engaging community events. By the end of 2024, a joint report will showcase the impact of these sustainable community health solutions.

"This partnership ensures our residents get the health education and resources they need," said Armon Matthews, Director of Client Services at HABD.

"By working with NOWINCLUDED, we can make a real difference in the health outcomes of our community."

Shayla Wilson, Head of Community and Digital Engagement leading Acclinate’s NOWINCLUDED community, added, "Mobilizing health equity at scale begins with education and activation at the individual and community levels. This is a particularly meaningful partnership for Acclinate because it enables us to deepen our impact with communities in our own backyard."

The community is invited to join this initiative and participate in upcoming events. Together, we can make a lasting impact on Birmingham’s Black community.
